RED MONKEY GOES TO HOLLYWOOD
review

As you can see, there are no photos from this party. I wasn't planning on going out on this night since I've been sick with a nasty cold all day. But by midnight I was feeling good enough to go out for a quick drive. One thing led to another and I ended up at Club Freedom... empty handed. In a way I'm glad I didn't take the camera. I was still too weak and light headed to concentrate on photography so I was able to sit back and soak up that great soulful house music.

Hanging over the dance floor, the camouflage net from the Riverbottom brought back a ton of memories. And as usual, the music KICKED ASS!!! Pete spun a sexy, steamy, tribal, soulful, magical set. After a while, I couldn't take it any more. I forgot I was sick and got up and danced my ass off like I was risen from the ashes. I can dig almost all other types of EDM and I think each has its own energy and purpose but I must say, house is the true dance music. Everyone was rocking and stomping away on the floor. It was one of the best of Red Monkey's EVER.

Even though Pete is moving away, this will be only an excuse to party even harder when he comes back to visit next time.

So long, Pete and best wishes... you big house monkey:)

A "chupa" party was my first rave ever.....almost 8 years ago. I fell in love that night and have been ever since! I wish I could've gone to this party, but I'm in MI now. Oh, I miss you AZ!
